St. Mary of Gostyn is a private, Catholic school located in Downers Grove, Illinois, known for exceptional academics, a strong catholic culture and dedicated staff.

The School came to BCG in hopes of developing a new marketing video that would tell the story of how and why students Learn, Grow and Thrive at St. Mary of Gostyn School. The video will be used as part of their upcoming Catholic Schools Week campaign to recruit new families and students for the 2023-2024 school year. The goal was to create a video that made their existing school community, including their teachers and staff, feel proud and left new families wanting to become part of the SMG family.

This Is How We Do It

Our crew spent the day at SMG. A drone operator to capture outdoor footage of the campus, a cameraman who was fully immersed in the classrooms and activities happening in the school, and the rest of us interviewed over 30 students, 10 teachers, administrators and parents.

We captured the heart and sole of St. Mary’s and then we had to pick and pull it apart in order to tell the right story. The end result was a video that

  • Features students talking about why they love SMG

  • Tells impactful stories of SMG’s dedicated teachers & staff

  • Highlights why parents chose SMG for their children

Numbers Don’t Lie

It’s true! Catholic Schools Week 2023 is still to come and so is the St. Mary’s recruitment campaign. But the debut of their new video on Facebook and Instagram has already generated a tremendous amount of activity. We can’t wait to hear how new family recruitment goes for St. Mary of Gostyn School come spring of 2023.
