    When we first met with Jerry and Phil Mavon they were approaching a very important milestone – the 100-year anniversary of Mavon Insurance. They were struggling with how to celebrate their past in a way that was inclusive of their family of companies – Mavon Insurance and Mavco Insurance Co. – and that looked to the future.
  • Strategy

    Because a large part of Mavon’s business is tied to the many agents and brokers they have partnered with over the years, Mavon Insurance launched a new logo, website, signage and many other marketing materials that highlighted a theme of “100 Years of Ensuring Your Independence”. This enabled Mavon to include these agents and broker partners in their celebration with branded giveaways, sales contests and more.

    One thing we also knew we had to capture was the Mavon family’s love of baseball and the Chicago Cubs – especially in a year where it looked like their team might go all the way!

    Mavco Insurance, which provides personal lines and business insurance to the public, adapted the theme of “Insuring Your Tomorrow for 100 Years.” Direct mail postcards, local print advertising, social media, promotional items and public relations efforts were used to target prospective families and businesses in the communities they serve, as well as to increase exposure of the brand and raise additional awareness for the many solutions that Mavco offers.

    We also had some fun! In a year where there was great hope that their team could “go all the way,” we also highlighted their building on Chicago Avenue in Hinsdale that features ivy on one side of the building’s exterior – just like the friendly confines!

    There is no question that from innovative marketing and promotional materials to customized Mavon baseball jerseys and an awesome 100th anniversary block party for their clients, employees, family, friends and trusted partners, Mavon not only celebrated their history but took great pride in every detail.     Over the years, the Mavon name has become well-known and well-respected both personally and professionally in the community. We wanted to carry their history, accomplishments and dedication to excellence into the marketing plan and all festivities that would take place throughout the year.

    Mavon and Mavco were able to show their appreciation for all who have contributed to the company’s milestone achievement. They dedicated 2016 to celebrating their proud history and in the end, were rewarded with a World Championship for their beloved Chicago Cubs.
