Tom began his marketing communications career working for community banks, a national real estate franchise and IHOP restaurants throughout the Midwest. In 1990, a burning desire to provide great work and great client service motivated him to start his own agency. Over the years, Tom has developed a unique ability to visualize the right look and craft a strong message based on a solid understanding of the client's strengths, goals and objectives.
Get to Know Tom...
What is one thing you like about working with family and one thing you don't?
I love having them involved, but it can create stress and a little heartache during difficult times.
What excites you most about your work and the contribution that you make?
I love creating something that makes others feel good. Like when an ad or some message is “spot on” and makes a client proud to push that message out there to their buying public.
What is your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
With family first – dinner or a barbecue together is best. If that doesn’t happen, I like playing a game of golf or accomplishing something working in the yard or around the house.
How did you get into this business? What path brought you here?
A friend and mentor who I liked and admired offered me a position and said that he thought I would enjoy it and I would be good at it. I went from being in the banking business to the ad business. It’s a big change but not so big when you realize that much of what I've done over the years is bank marketing.
What is your favorite way to relax?
I like to play golf, shop with my wife Linda or the kids, go out to dinner and watch football (enjoyed it a lot more before there were video challenges of every play).
Where did you meet Linda?
We actually met in 5th grade when family moved to Oak Lawn. We didn't date until the summer before our senior year of high school.
